Agartala, Nov 08: Leader of Opposition Animesh Debbarma on Wednesday said the state government failed to fulfil its promises on good governance, law and order, employment and other issues.

Launching a sharp attack on the government, he said development is visible only in the posters or in the printed format. The ground reality is totally different.

Debbarma, a senior leader of TIPRA Motha party, also alleged that there was no development in Janajati areas.

He said that the burden of debt is weighing heavy on the state finances.

According to the Opposition Leader, “The ruling party keeps making critical comments on the Left for the burden of debt they left on the present government but the fact remains, the burden of loan has only increased under the present regime. At present, the government has a debt amount almost double of what the Left front government left as outstanding”.

He also criticized the state government on several other issues.
